Kaleidoscope Children’s Palliative Care Service Taxi Fund

JHHHT has recently set up a monthly fund to pay for taxis for families in the care of the Kaleidoscope Children’s palliative care servcie who need assistance with transport to hospices, hospitals and for other outings.

(Kaleidoscope is an NHS run, nurse-led children’s palliative care service supporting families in Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham and Westminster and was the service that helped care for Joshua Hayday).

JHHHT Golf Day 2010

On Friday 15 October 2010, the inaugural Joshua Hayday Helping Hand Trust Golf Day took place at the stunning Worplesdon Golf Club near Woking (www.worplesdongc.co.uk). It was a great day.

12 teams took part in the Team Stableford Competition.

Tony and Tom’s Hever Castle Triathlon

On Saturday 25 September 2010 Tony Martin and Tom Lahaise successfully completed the Hever Castle Triathlon for JHHHT. Well done lads – a fantastic effort.

Tony said: “we managed to hit upon the only sunny day in September (good omen number 1), Lahaise broke his bicycle before he set-off (good omen number 2), and we were facing the wrong way when the swim gun went off (good omen number 3), but we really enjoyed our day out supporting JHHHT”.

EDM Hike – Italy

On the weekend of 4 and 5 September 2010, the EDM hike took place in Italy in the Apuane Alps in Northern Tuscany.

EDM is the Equity and Debt Markets department at the magic circle law firm Linklaters. The team comprised employees from the London, Milan and Moscow offices.

    Charity Football Match – Balcombe FC v Lancing Old Boys FC 2010

    The inaugural Balcombe FC v Lancing Old Boys FC Charity Shield Football match was a great success and managed to raise just under £1,000 for JHHHT.

    Amy Hunsworth’s Paddling Pool Parties

    Cream teas were enjoyed in the garden and nobody left empty handed with the choice of home made cakes and jam. The total raised for JHHHT was £200.

    Ballroom and Latin dance classes end of term party

    On 7 July 2010 the two Wednesday Ballroom and Latin dance classes led by Sandy Back marked the end of term with a party. At the party a raffle was held in aid of JHHHT which coupled with profits from the weekly refreshments over the course of the year raised the grand sum of £120 for the charity.

    Burgess Hill School for Girls Mums’ Lunch

    On 17th June 2010, a group of friends whose daughters attended the Burgess Hill School for Girls held a get together in support of the Joshua Hayday Helping Hand Trust. Including Gift Aid and kind donations from those unable to come, over £250 was raised.
