Great day for annual golf tournament
Another fantastic day at this year’s Joshua Hayday Helping Hand Trust Golf Day on Thursday 30 July! A record turn out of golfers, golfers taking a lesson and other guests for lunch helped us raise a best ever £10k. A huge thank therefore to everyone who played, sponsored, donated prizes, bid in the auction, volunteered and supported us throughout the day.
Through the award of the Terry Hayday Memorial Trophy (nearest the Pin on the 4th) we found a fitting way to pay tribute to Terry Hayday, grandfather of Joshua, who sadly passed away in June. Terry was a founding trustee and a veteran of 17 JHHHT golf days, every time giving a brilliant speech about what the charity’s work.
A huge thank you also goes all the staff at Worplesdon Golf Club, our friendly and generous hosts.
We are already looking forward to seeing everyone at next year’s Golf Day
