Kucera family success in Sao Tome ultra marathon is big win for JHHHT too

From 15 to 21 February, Francis, Sarah, Josie and Ginny Kucera successfully took on the 6 day Global Limits Sao Tome ultra marathon.

Fran (with his 2 newly replaced knees!) walked 128km and Sarah, Josie ad Ginny ran (where possible!) the 200km course. With temperatures in the 30s and 80% humidity, they tackled the course through jungle, beaches and coffee plantations to finish on the equator. They stayed in tents or under mosquito nets on the floor of communal buildings. They took their own food, with only water available at camps, no cooking and very basic washing facilities. By taking on this challenge, they have raised nearly £9000 for JHHHT, a charity very close to their hearts.
